New Mexico: Snow covered peaks and a big blue sky

We pulled out of Santa Rosa New Mexico right on time on a cool sunny , but breezy day headed for Santa Fe.  This was our shortest ride so far.  We knew it would be, and the scenery was magnificent
We could see the peaks from Taos during the entire ride. Only about 150 miles today.
During our short ride we went into many villages which are all centered around the church. Such a beautiful simple way of life.  No traffic jams, no country clubs, just family and friends.

After not seeing them for two days we ran into our German friends traveling the same route.  Once again Hans gave us German Beer, which we told him we could not drink until the daily ride was over.

Another beautiful New Mexico Church, just outside of Santa Fe.

Our Tuesday rest stop. The mountain home of Tom and Gloria Quaid.  What a special treat.  This home is beautiful.  We spent all of Tuesday afternoon resting and getting ready for the final stretch.

Santa Fe.

Our goal for Wednesday is to reach Gallop, New Mexico.  The bikes are running great. I had to clean the water out of my horn, after riding in the rain for a day.  Now it works again.
Once again this is a great lesson in recent American History.  Who wants to go next year?
