Williams, Az., Grand Canyon and Kingman

Friday was a great day of riding.  Warm and then hot temps and the most magnificent scenery yet. Plus we ended the day with a pool side biker party in Kingman, AZ.
Started in Williams, Az. a great little western town and the entrance, 50 miles away, to the Grand Canyon.  The Grand Canyon was out of our way , but so worth the extra hundred miles.

A 1956 Ford with fender skirts and a continental kit.

Mike relaxes at Cruisers in Williams, Az

We did not take the railroad from Williams to the Grand Canyon, but it looks like the ride could be fun.  It goes once a day each way and cost about $90. round trip.

How many of us remember the Burma Shave signs along the highways.  They are still there on Route 66.  They help to make the miles go by faster.

When I tell you the Grand Canyon is the most beautiful site I've ever seen, I won't be kiddin. The camera does not do the scenes justice.

Why did I wait 63 years to visit the Grand Canyon?  I'll be back.

Skidder and Easy Rider pause for the tourist photo.

What a backdrop and the perfect time of the year to visit this great National Park. I got a lifetime $10.00 pass to all National Parks.

We're havin fun now!

One more view! If you haven' t been here, put it on your must go list.

A little Route 66 fun in Seligman, Az. It's fun to be a tourist.

Porta Potty!

Ann Margaret and Elvis entertain Kimbo. These are all the fun and great reasons to travel Route 66.

Buzz and Todd must be in this stop.

The sign does not lie.  105 degrees today in Needles

What a way to end the day and spend Friday night at a biker pool party in Kingman, Az. Mike had a chance to repeat the same stories I've heard for the last 11 days.  Fun Fun Fun!

Some of new best biker friends. Buffy and Miffy at the pool party

Madonna and Elvis show their Harley love while Sandra Dee looks for a smoke.

A great ending to a great day. Party on Dude
